  • Evaluate the impact of concomitant PPI use on all-cause mortality at 3, 6, and 12 months following CAR-T cell therapy infusion

2. Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Safety of GLP-1 Receptor Agonists. Dr. Kefang Sun, PGY-2

Objectives:

  • Describe key gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary safety concerns associated with GLP-1 receptor agonists 
  • Interpret real-world cohort evidence comparing GLP-1 RAs with GLP-1 antidiabetic therapies 
  • Identify the main safety signals, including gastroparesis and intussusception 
  • Discuss GLP-1 RA safety findings in high-risk subgroups, including patients with IBD and prior bariatric surgery

4. Obstructive Sleep Apnea as a Modulator of Coronary Collateral Development in Acute Myocardial Infarction: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis. Dr. M. Mushtaq Muaz.

Objectives:

  • Describe the physiological role of coronary collateral circulation and its impact on outcomes following acute myocardial infarction 
  • Explain the proposed mechanisms by which obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), through intermittent hypoxia and ischemic preconditioning, may influence coronary collateral development 
  • Interpret the findings of the systematic review and meta-analysis evaluating the association between OSA and coronary collateral formation 
  • Discuss the clinical implications, limitation, and future research directions regarding the relationship between OSA, coronary collateralization, and myocardial infarction outcomes
