Abstract
Recent studies have shown internet search activity on search engines such as Google as a powerful metric for measuring the success of public health campaigns. With this premise, we conducted a descriptive analytical study using Google Trends to gauge the public interest in breast cancer in Pakistan from 2011 to 2021. Our findings indicate that despite an increase in public interest over the last decade, it remains low when considering the incidence rate of the disease. However, as internet access increases in Pakistan, online campaigns through social media platforms will become an easy and cost-effective avenue to educate the public regarding important healthcare issues.
