Objectives:
- Recognize the prevalence and global burden of iron deficiency in women
- Understand the limitations of traditional ferritin reference ranges and how they disadvantage women
- Identify common symptoms and clinical implications of iron deficiency beyond anemia
- Compare oral and intravenous iron formulations, their efficacy, and tolerability, especially in pregnancy
- Apply evidence-based strategies for diagnosing and treating iron deficiency in pregnancy
